Sound Associates has been the premiere production services company for many of the music industry’s finest talents, as well as for festivals and other music venues.
In this gallery, you will find a selection of photos from the many indoor and outdoor concerts that we have had the privilege of staging and producing.
This seasonal tradition runs from late November until after New Year’s Day! Sound Associates has been honored to provide ever-expanding, outdoor Christmas lighting displays for Wind Creek Casino in Atmore, Alabama.
According to sources, this yearly event attracts record numbers of viewers from not only our southeast region, but from many states across the country. With the casino’s campus being less than a mile from heavily traveled Interstate 65, it makes a perfect stopover point for holiday travelers.
The vast and colorful display combines thousands of LED lights with traditional lighting for over four acres of Christmas magic!
Mardi Gras 2015
The photos in this gallery are of the famous Order of Osiris Ball taken at the Mobile Convention Center for Mardi Gras in 2015. 2015 marked the 32nd consecutive year that many of the region’s largest and most spectacular Mardi Gras balls have chosen Sound Associates to provide comprehensive production services for their special events.
In life, there are parties, celebrations and carnivals galore. Then there’s Mardi Gras, which is something that has to be experienced in order to fully appreciate it as the mother of all celebrations! Mardi Gras began as a French Catholic celebration in preparation for the season of Lent and has evolved into the multi-week celebration it is today.
Our hometown of Mobile, Alabama is the original home of Mardi Gras and is the oldest carnival celebration in the United States with over 300 years in the making. Founded as the capital of French Louisiana by French-Canadian explorer Jean Baptiste Le Moyne Sieur de Bienville, the tiny settlement of Fort Louis de la Mobile celebrated America’s very first Mardi Gras in 1703.
Fifteen years later, Mobile revelers migrated to our big sister to the west and New Orleans was established by Bienville in 1718. By the 1730s, Mardi Gras was celebrated openly in New Orleans.
Each year, Mobile celebrates its French heritage with a multi-week, multi-cultural carnival with over 30 parades and 60 balls. The party rolls on through Fat Tuesday and ends with the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday.
